Music is integral to life at Russell House at every age.
A huge proportion of our children play instruments, we have thriving junior and senior orchestras, and from the age of seven, nearly every child comes to school early to sing in Choristers.
In Form 2 (Year 1), all the children have a ‘strings experience’ which introduces them to the enjoyment of playing a stringed instrument. In small groups of three, all the children have weekly violin lessons on violins provided by the school and all play their instruments together during their class music lessons.
