Message from the head
When I am asked by visitors what characterises Russell House, I am proud to be able to say that our children are truly happy at school and that they achieve outstanding academic results. These are my aims and they underpin all that we do here.

Russell House provides a well-rounded education, embracing the values of tolerance, enthusiasm, vigorous commitment, understanding and respect for others. Academic excellence goes hand in hand with an ethos that encourages individuality, self-expression and curiosity to learn. We cultivate a calm, happy atmosphere, based on respect for other people, their property and the environment. There is also a strong emphasis on building skills for the future and developing a sensitive awareness of the world beyond school.

Equally important at Russell House is the attitude of mutual respect between teachers and pupils, the nurturing of self-esteem – though never at the expense of others – and the promotion of a communal vision through teamwork.

We are a family school with a special atmosphere. Come and meet our enthusiastic and dedicated teachers and see our children at work and at play in the school’s beautiful setting. I am always delighted to welcome visitors and show them around personally.
