A big week outdoors
10 May 2024Form 4 have enjoyed several outside this week as part of environmental week.
They composed pieces in their music lesson and went on a scavenger hunt in French. One member of the class even managed a quick catch up with his sister who was also outside learning!
In English, they have begun planning persuasive texts with the aim of changing something at Russell House. These cover a range of topics, such as; we need longer breaks and there should be sweets as part of lunch. We'll see if any of them can be persuasive enough to convince Mr McCarthy.
In maths, children have been tackling the challenge of large division calculations and then applying these to word problems. They have been persevering well and many have mastered both 1- and 2-step calculations.
