A mystery to investigate

Form 4 have had an exciting week.

They had a drama workshop, origami lesson and a game of Kho Kho on Monday morning as part of humanities week, then enjoyed a calming session of yoga in the afternoon.

On Tuesday morning, they had an unexpected visit from Mr Trigger asking them if they had seen his missing cricket bat. He had stored it in the games shed overnight but it wasn't there anymore! Form 4 sprung into action and went to investigate. They discovered the crime scene contained plenty of clues. Once they were wearing suitable clothing, they collected evidence and carefully bagged it up to investigate further.

After break, Kent police paid a visit and gave the children some excellent tips on how to carry out an investigation. They explained how to complete witness statements, how to track a suspect using CCTV and what sort of things forensic investigators would be looking for at a crime scene. The children are now ready to track down the culprit over the coming weeks.

There has also been time for some practical work on 3D shapes in our maths lessons. The children have been carefully counting faces, edges and vertices and then making some shapes from nets.
