Battle formations

Form 4 finished last week out in the sunshine re-enacting Roman battle formations.

By replacing shields with games bibs, they managed to form the tortoise, the repel cavalry and the wedge formation (with varying degrees of success!)

In science, they worked hard to produce a line graph using the measurements from their sundial and they have also begun looking at the different parts of an eye.

They have moved on to addition in maths and have all been able to add large numbers by using the column method. They have also read another Anthony Browne book called The Tunnel and are busy planning their own stories to explain some of the mysteries in the book.

The children enjoyed participating in Modern Foreign Languages Day. There were many wonderful costumes and several of the children stood up in assembly to introduce themselves in other languages.
