Multiplication and imagination

Form 4 have all come back to school keen and eager to learn. They have begun a new topic in science on teeth and digestion and are finishing off their study of the Romans.

In English, they enjoyed writing settings of an imaginary land at the top of a beanstalk. They showed huge variety and included such things as cities made from sweets and children shooting out of volcanoes! There were also plenty of exciting adjectives used to enhance the descriptions.
In French, they have been learning the names of the days of the week.
Maths has been all about multiplication and the children were impressed to find that they could multiply HUGE numbers using the column method. They also enjoyed battling it out against each other in Mathletics competitions.
