Odd socks

Form 4 began the week with a walk around the school grounds.

The reason behind it was to have a go at producing a map of the site, since their new humanities topic is a geography unit on map skills.

They also did an excellent job of presenting an assembly to the school about anti-bullying week. This year's theme is Choose Respect and they explained to the rest of the school how they can do this on the playground and in the classroom. Many of the children also wore odd socks to show that it's okay to be different and to stand up against bullying and discrimination.

In maths, they have been tackling the challenge of division. They've used their times tables effectively to help them and have had a go at completing questions with remainders and larger calculations with the bus stop method. There was also time for some problem-solving activities.
