Prisoner hat riddle
10 Jan 2025Happy New Year to all of our Russell House families. We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed the break. It's been a busy first week back at school and it has been lovely hearing about everything the children got up to, including a couple of birthdays that have been celebrated too.
In French, Form 6 has been learning about the weather. The children completed a Google Quiz to check their knowledge and then they expanded it by acting out some new sentences.The children have also now received responses from their French pen pals, as well as Christmas and Happy New Year cards. They are now excitedly writing their replies.
In maths, Form 6 has been attempting to solve reasoning tasks, including the Prisoner Hat Riddle. This particular problem involved working as a team to identify the colours of the hats that they were wearing without looking at or talking about them. Sadly, many of the children lost this challenge and were eaten by the aliens that were keeping them prisoner! Why don't you follow the link and have a go yourself?
