Radiant rangolis
03 May 2024Form 4 have been testing the elasticity of rubber bands this week as part of their science topic.
They carefully set up all the equipment they needed and then added 100g weights onto the bands, measuring the length of the band carefully each time. They then repeated the test but with differing sizes and amounts of bands to compare.
In humanities, they learnt about the Hindu festival of Holi and enjoyed using brightly coloured chalk to draw their own rangoli patterns outside the classroom.
In English, the children are continuing their newspaper articles, ensuring that they use all 5Ws (who, what, why, where, when) and a mixture of quotes, facts and opinions.
As part of their French lessons, the children have been naming a range of different foods and practising saying things that they like and dislike.
