U8A v Hazelwood:
Petra scored excellent goals and Eliora was great in defence. Emilia and Lara both scored one goal each and Petra scored three! We won 5-0. Well done, Russell House. Imogen
U8B v Hazelwood:
We played against Hazelwood and we won 2-0! Humari and Emilia scored our goals in the last quarter. Humari was player of the match. Well done, everyone! Modupe
U9A v Hazelwood:
Russell House won 7-1 against Hazelwood. Evie scored three goals and Bluebell scored four goals. Bluebell was player of the match, but we all played so well. The weather began to get chilly, but we warmed up from all the running around. Well done, team. Isabelle
U9B v Hazelwood:
The U9B team played away at Hazelwood School. We started well and were good at attacking. There was some very good dribbling and passing by Isla and Jessie, who both scored. I was player of the match, but the whole team played really well, marking our spaces. It was a close game, but Russell House was triumphant. The final score was Hazelwood 3-5 Russell House. Maka
U10/11A Tournament at Sutton Valence:
There were 12 teams split into three different groups. In our first group match, we played Sutton Valence. We battled hard and tried our best, but they scored one goal, unfortunately. Final score 1-0. In our second match, we got off to an amazing start with Georgie scoring in the first couple of minutes. Unfortunately, Ashford quickly came back to score their first goal. For the rest of the match, everyone battled really hard with defence and Zoey stopped lots of attempts at goal. Ashford finally scored a second goal just before the final whistle. The final score was 2-1. Our third match was against Kent College Canterbury. Our defenders were amazing because they definitely could have scored more goals than they did. Jessica was a great attacker and defender and if she lost the ball, she kept fighting back. The final score was 2-0. In our last match, we played Vine Hill. Annabel scored our first goal in the first few minutes of the game and Jessica scored the second goal from at the top of the D. It was a brilliant way to finish our tournament and meant we came 11th. Final Score 2-0. Throughout the whole tournament, everyone tried really hard with special mention going to all the defenders, who were amazing and prevented much bigger wins by the opposition. Annabel
U10/11C v Caterham:
The Russell House C team played Caterham Prep and we won 3-2. The players of the match were Catherine and Isobel. Catherine scored two goals and Isabella scored one goal. Catherine
U10/11D v Caterham:
Despite the wind and rainy weather, I am pleased to say the match was played in great spirits and we played very well, deserving of a 5-1 victory. Victoria scored the first goal, followed by Jessica adding two more goals and we led 3-1 at half-time. We started strongly in the second half and Victoria scored her second and the team's fourth goal before Hazel made it 5-1 for a Russell House victory. I want to congratulate the whole team for such a strong performance, especially in our defence towards the end of the first half when we were under a little pressure. Orla and Imogen played very well. Congratulations must also go to Jessica, who was named player of the match for the second time this season. Overall, I think Russell House played very well as a team and we enjoyed the victory and look forward to our next match. Nahla
