U9B Tournament at Lingfield College
Today we played a tournament at Lingfield and we finished in 6th place. Anna played well, nearly scoring many goals. Isla was a great defender. We still lost but tried hard. We had lots of fun. Evie
U9A Tournament at Lingfield College
We went to the Lingfield tournament and we went as the defending champions. It was a challenging tournament against really good opposition. There are some things we could have improved on, but overall we played well. Our defence had a tough day against Lingfield and Rose Hill especially. We managed to score 6 goals overall - Lara was great, playing a year up and scored 4 goals! Bluebell helped out with 2 more. Petra did some lovely dribbling, and Olivia gave some great assists. Although we didn't win today, this is good experience for the next tournament! Bluebell
U10/11A v Caterham Prep
The U11 A team played Caterham Prep and they beat us 2-0 to them. I personally think that we played really well and it was a very close game. Jessica was the player of the match and I think she deserved it, as she was always putting pressure on the player with the ball or when she had the ball she used good stick skills and she could dribble all the way across the pitch up to the other end and give us lots of chances to score. The other team played really well as well. I think that we could take more chances at goal and when the other team has the ball we could push into them more, not letting them get very far down the pitch. All in all, I think we played really well. Beatrix
U11 ISA National Hockey Championships at Lee Valley
The A team played in the ISA Hockey tournament. In our group stages, we didn't concede any goals and we had so many chances to score, but sadly all of our shots at goal were saved or went wide. In the end, all four teams were on the same points with the same goals, so we had to pull a number out of a hat to decide whether we went through to the Cup, Plate, Bowl or Trophy final. Luckily, Mrs Curling pulled out 2nd so we went to the Plate (the second best). In the Plate, we played amazingly well, but sadly lost 0-2. Well done to our defenders, who fought valiantly. Our next game we lost 1-2, with an excellent goal from Annabel. Our last match we drew 0-0 and we were all very tired afterwards. Well done to all the girls and especially Zoey, who was our goal keeper, as she saved loads of goals. Georgie
U10/11B v Caterham Prep
This week's match was against Caterham Prep. The match went well, but we lost 2-0. We made some amazing tackles. Our goalkeeper, Clara, saved a powerful shot and Sophie did amazingly well, with getting in the right space of the pitch. Georgia was left wing and did especially great. Everyone did great. Well done Russell House. Isla
