The ‘Great’ in Great Britain

In class, we have been learning about lots of exciting things. One of the standouts this week included humanities, where we researched some of the most influential British people that ever lived. Our list included Sir Marcus Rashford and Sir David Attenborough, who we thought had both made major contributions to society.

In our games lesson this week, we practised our high jump technique and were all very impressed when George cleared a whopping 1m 20cm! In English and music, we have been continuing to learn and rehearse parts of our play ready for the end of year performance. In maths, we have been presenting our research about number systems and solving Roman numeral puzzles.

Our Leavers’ programme has also continued this week, with two workshops. The Life Skills workshop taught us many things that we would need to know as we make the transition to secondary school, including how to stay safe and what changes are likely to happen to our bodies in that time. We also took part in a Drama Masterclass, which allowed us to channel our inner performers.

Have a lovely half-term break.
