At the extremes

Form 5 presented a fascinating assembly about extreme places on our earth.

In English this week, the class has been discussing atmosphere in poetry, specifically poems about the sea. They read The Sea by James Reeves, which uses the metaphor of the sea as a hungry dog and The Ocean's Blanket by Carol Ann Duffy, which they performed with expression, movement and sound effects.  They looked at how the atmosphere can change according to the vocabulary and the expression used.

Also this week, Form 5 presented an assembly to the rest of the school. They did a great job in showing everyone the hard work they have been doing in their Humanities lessons looking at the extreme places and creatures of our planet.
