A fascinating trip
21 Oct 2021Form 4 had a wonderful time at Lullingstone Villa this week.
The children had a guided tour of the villa and found out many interesting facts about the baths and the mosaic floor in particular. They were even able to spot the mistakes that had occurred when the mosaic was first made.
They enjoyed a demonstration of how the heating system worked and the chance to have a go at 'cleaning' each other with a strigil. Next they became archaeologists, carefully brushing away sand to find the artefacts below, and then piecing them together.
In English and the children particularly enjoyed performing The School Kid Rap in small groups as part of their poetry. Maths has been a mix of coordinates and place value.
