Imagining life in the trenches
21 Oct 2021Form 7 have been getting creative with models and tackling a tricky dissection.
In Form 7 Humanities, we have been learning about World War 1. To start, we discovered the reasons for why the war began, looked at the countries involved and placed some key dates into chronological order.
We then looked closely at trench warfare and the strategies involved in winning the war. The class was given the task of creating a trench model at home. All the children showed excellent creativity on this project and the finished designs were brilliant.
Talking of practicals, Science provided another chance to get busy with a scalpel, as Form 7 dissected eyes. Not as easy to cut into as some had imagined. However, they were still able to see the different structures within the eye and understand better how this miraculous sense works.
