Have you seen this pirate?

Our pirate voyage of discovery continues this week in Form 3.

In English this week the children have been designing wanted posters for the feared pirate Blackbeard.  Interesting fact: he used to put candle wax in his beard and set fire to it to scare people! Form 3 have also been creating non-chronological reports about pirates.

In maths, the children have been refreshing their place value knowledge. They have been partitioning numbers and ordering and sequencing numbers.
In science, the children had a lovely lesson outdoors spotting visitors to the trees at Russell House.  They drew the trees and identified the different types of habitats that were there.
In humanities, the children were plotting coordinates on a treasure map.
