Learning many languages
17 Jun 2022The Form 7 journalists' report of the week.
In maths, the Form 7 class has been learning about different number systems and how to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide using them. We started learning about binary and we used dots and the flip flop method to count up the numbers. We also started to learn about octal and hexadecimal, which replaced some numbers with letters.
The current topic of our science lessons is growing up and in PSHE we learnt about peer pressure and the effects it has on us. We had to create small plays and improvisations of what a situation could look like, and then we took it in different directions.
For French Day, we ran a quiz competition in assembly and the Houses competed to see who knew the most about France by answering our multiple choice quiz questions. We were all dressed up as different professions and learnt many new French words for different jobs. It was a lot of fun.
A quick note from Mrs Carn: Thank you to those that have sent in your pictures for the Grow Your Own Project competition. The deadline is Monday, it does not matter if you have only just started. We are all on different parts of the journey, so give it a go and share your story with Mrs Carn.
