They have been looking at a book called The Tunnel in English and they had to help solve a dilemma. Should they go in the tunnel or not? What might the consequences be? They also began writing their own versions of the missing part of the story.

 

 

Maths has focused on addition using columns. The children were impressed with the large numbers they could add using this method and realised that adding decimals was not as tricky as they thought.

 

They also found out about the lifestyle of a Roman soldier and the equipment he would carry. They did feel that 25 years was rather a long time to have to serve.
