We're off on a bear hunt...19 Sep 2019
The Nursery children have been on their very own bear hunt!
The children have been busy this week and learning so much through our story We're going on a Bear Hunt. They made binoculars using staplers and hole punchers so we could discover where the bears were hiding on the paddock... Thankfully they didn't chase us back to Nursery!
We started the week by squelching through brown paint to make footprints for our display. Then the children have been sorting and weighing the coloured bears and measuring the soft toy bears using Unifix cubes. Lots of mathematical learning happened in the process - including fantastic counting up to 29!
There were some amazing pictures in Special Books of bears with shiny noses and furry ears. The children loved making banana cakes, mixing, stirring and mashing the bananas. We hope you enjoyed them!
