Our enormous turnip!

Form 3 took centre stage this week to perform their class assembly.

This week Form 3 have been developing their descriptive writing skills, using the story of Hansel and Gretel as a stimulus. They enjoyed thinking of interesting adjectives, similes and alliteration to describe the gingerbread house in great detail and used these different literary techniques to write a description of the setting.

In Maths, the children have been focusing on multiplication, deepening their understanding by representing multiplication as repeated addition and arrays. They have also applied their understanding of multiplication to solve real life word problems.

Form 3 also took centre stage this week to perform their class assembly. They did a fantastic job and entertained the school with a song and a fantastic re-enactment of The Enormous Turnip. They also proudly shared some of the work they have produced this term, including instructions about how to bake bread and their Humanities work about harvest.
