Antonyms and synonyms

Form 3 have been delving deeper into various topics this week.

In maths Form 3 have been naming and identifying the properties of 2D and 3D shapes.  They had a fun lesson making 3D shapes from Plasticine and lolly sticks.  They then had to find the 2D shape hidden in the 3D shape.
In English, the children have been looking at the difference between antonyms and synonyms.  The children had to find the antonym for a given word and then include it in a sentence.
In humanities, we have been discussing deforestation.  Working in groups, the children chose to be BBC News reporters and took to interviewing scientists to discuss the effects of deforestation on the planet.
