Robins

Russell Robins is a warm, happy environment which creates the perfect start for life at Russell House. The children love their bright, busy room which opens out into a secure garden area so they can move freely indoors and out.

They make the most of the school’s beautiful grounds, heading out for a bear hunt, to enjoy a picnic or wave at the trains. In the spring Robins children can be heard singing Baa Baa Black Sheep to the new-born lambs running in the fields near the paddock.

It is lovely to see older siblings who visit their brother or sister for a chat or have a quick cuddle over the garden fence as they pass by. The Robins pop in to see the Nursery children and occasionally visit Mr McCarthy, who enjoys tasting their baking!

Part of the Russell House Family

Every Wednesday morning is assembly, when the Robins join the rest of our Pre-Prep classes to celebrate birthdays and show the amazing work they have done. Music lessons and gym are also part of the weekly activities, taught by qualified teachers who are passionate about their subject.

Activities in the Robins are stimulating and fun. Children are encouraged to follow their own interests, and they are provided with opportunities to excite their curiosity. It’s an approach which develops independence and a natural interest in the environment around them.

Russell Robins is special. The children feel part of the Russell House family, while also enjoying the security of being in a small group of no more than eight children in each session. Parents too enjoy the warmth and support of our staff as they entrust their children into our care.
