Board game battles
21 Oct 2022In Form 6 humanities, the children have been learning about the English Civil War.
After researching Charles I and the start of his reign, the class learnt about the tension that grew between the Royalists who supported the King and the parliamentarians who argued that the King had too much power.
To gain a better understanding of the scale of the English Civil War and to learn more about the various battles that took place, the children played a Civil War board game. The game was a map of Britain and featured the key battles of the war, with the aim to secure as many strongholds as possible before your opponent.
