The trip was a valuable enrichment exercise to support the children in learning about medieval Britain in their humanities lesson. This classic medieval castle has all the features of a castle that the children will be learning about in the classroom. It was a brilliant opportunity for the children to get a sense of scale, take a close look at castle defences and consider how a castle might be attacked. They also had the opportunity to take part in an armour workshop where they tried on medieval armour.
