They spent the time weeding and clearing weeds from the pond area and around the vegetable patches. They talked about the importance of eating locally grown produce and how scientifically beneficial it is to us.

This fitted perfectly with Environmental Awareness Week. There were discussions around the pond about how plants in water can still provide oxygen and the children were on the lookout for any wildlife thriving around the water.
