The making of a masterpiece

In Form 5 humanities this term the children have been learning about humanism and looking back at the Renaissance period in Italy where many of the first humanism ideas started.

They looked at some of the influential people of this time including Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo. One quick activity the children took part in was replicating Michelangelo's work painting the Sistine Chapel by having them lie under their desks and draw with the paper above them.

Form 5 also had the opportunity to partake in another collaborative art workshop. This time it was a felt-making workshop where wool was used to create a beautiful scales to add onto the Russell House dragon, which has been created ahead of the Chinese New Year.
