A love of the outdoors

It has been a wonderful week in Nursery welcoming the new children and seeing the 'oldies' helping them and joining in with their play.

The children have been playing and learning together inside the classroom and outside in the garden - we also went to see the lambs in the fields and, of course, the chickens at The Farm.
They have been enjoying making 'cakes' out of play-dough for myself and Mrs Sayers and their friends too. A very long snake was made from play-dough, which we measured to see how long it was! The tiny caterpillars have been introduced to the children and we are already amazed at how big they have grown! We will be watching them closely over the next couple of weeks for the next stage of their life cycle. We are looking forward to lots of activities for our story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar next week.
The children loved using the screwdrivers to build racing cars - some might make requests to help with DIY over the bank holiday weekend! We have been busy planting some flowers into the tubs, which have been watered very well by the helpful little gardeners in Nursery!
We hope you enjoy the story sacks which have gone home with the children this week - please let us know if there is anything missing from the bags.
Have a fabulous Bank Holiday weekend. We look forward to seeing you all again on Tuesday.
