Dear Greenpeace

This week the children have been writing to Greenpeace asking for their help to save the planet.

As a class they have brainstormed some ideas and questions that they may want to ask Greenpeace. We listened to Dear Greenpeace by Simon James and we discussed how people can all help save the environment.

The children also continue to make their animal PowerPoint by inserting pictures, a background colour and writing text.

During Humanities, we have been learning about Nigeria and are preparing for our assembly in a few weeks' time. The children enjoyed drawing and colouring the Nigerian flag.

In science, the children had to identify different materials that are most suitable to be waterproof. They had to test different materials using a pipette to drop a certain quantity of water on them.
The groups had to decide the best material for their teddy to wear to keep dry.

They enjoyed acting out different jobs to the class during PSHE. The children had to brainstorm different jobs to earn money.

In maths, the children have been working on time consolidating o’clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to.  They enjoyed using the clocks to indicate times and playing a game on the interactive board. They are starting to learn about dividing by 2, 5 and 10.
