Archaeologists and the Anglo-Saxons

Form 4 have become archaeologists this week. They learnt about the strange mounds at Sutton Hoo and the treasure found inside.

They were given pictures of several artefacts and had to discuss what they thought they were and what each item tells us about the Anglo-Saxons. They then used the Chromebooks to decide who they thought was buried there using all the evidence available.

In English, they have begun writing non-chronological reports about how to look after a pet of their choice. They researched how to house, feed and exercise it and are now focusing on using subheadings and informative writing.

They have also been busy planning experiments in science and revising column addition and subtraction in maths.
