Catching a culprit
04 Jul 2025Form 4 have been busy again this week with a whole range of activities.
In science, they asked Mr McCarthy to come and speak to them about the theft of the cricket bat. They discussed their evidence with him and decided which pieces were the strongest. Then they summoned Mrs Tickner and presented her with their case. After withstanding a great deal of scrutiny, Mrs Tickner finally confessed to taking the bat. She had needed to reach a piece of uniform from the top shelf and realised that the bat would be ideal. She was so busy though that she forgot to put it back straight away and was then too embarrassed to say anything once she realised Form 4 were on the case. Happily, the bat is now back with Mr Trigger who is delighted.
There was also time for the class to deliver an assembly highlighting all the things they have enjoyed this year. The camp, and toasting marshmallows in particular, was a firm favourite. The children were responsible for making their own slides and they spoke confidently to their audience.
