Hungry caterpillars

We have had a lovely week continuing our learning about minibeasts and life cycles.

The children have been working hard on their literacy and mathematics skills. Everybody has completed mark-making and counting workbooks, all based on The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The children had to count the fruits, complete the patterns, trace shapes and practise writing their name.

On Wednesday, we had a gymnastics assembly, where we watched some of the older children demonstrate their skills. The Nursery children were so fascinated and inspired!

We also went over to Transition for the children who are moving up to meet their new friends, teachers and see their new classroom. Everybody loved exploring the environment and the different toys they have.

Throughout the week, we have been practising our songs for our Summer Celebration next week. The children are all very excited to show off their hard work to their families. The special leaf was even awarded to a child who has had the loudest singing voice!

Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the sunshine!
