During humanities, the children were discussing different religions and beliefs. They played a game outside where they had to form their own opinions. They enjoyed the game and we discussed whether it was acceptable to change their mind or have different opinions to others.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This week, the children have been acting out Jack and the Beanstalk using sound effects. They have discussed in their groups the setting and different characters and sequenced the story. They enjoyed performing to the class and they were able to use their voices to be a very forceful giant, an angry Jack’s mother and Jack.

During maths, the children were adding and subtracting multiples of 10 using the 100 square method. They have also been consolidating the 2, 5 and 10 times tables. The children worked extremely hard.

In science, the children were identifying different things that they push and pull around the school. They looked around the room and outside for different things that they could push or pull. They also completed an investigation measuring the distance that a car travelled down different ramps.
