Finding Gruffalo

Something very strange happened on Wednesday… The Gruffalos went missing from the classroom. Luckily, they left clues, so the children were able to find them.

They had to problem-solve the clues by working out the rhyming words. Eventually, they were found in The Farm. Form 2 have also been very busy preparing for their Main School assembly next week and are enjoying learning the Gruffalo song.

In maths this week, Form 2 have been using a number line to add digits. They also have been playing interactive games on the board and they have used the dienes to identify place value. They loved playing the games and I am very impressed with their perseverance and hard work.

In humanities, the children were brainstorming different modes of transport and they thought of over 30 different ways.

In science, the children drew around their hands, labelled the parts and measured their hand spans. The children ordered the hand measurements from smallest to largest to see who had the biggest hand span.

During computing, the children continued to pretend to be a Bee Bot by giving clear instructions. They moved around the room using forwards, backwards, right and left. The children had to get from one location to another without touching their partner.
