They have also been practising their sentence skills by unmuddling some very muddled sentences so that they make sense, before writing the corrected versions in their books.

This week in Maths, Form 2 have been using number lines to subtract numbers and they have enjoyed playing interactive games on the board to reinforce their learning. They are also beginning to learn their 2, 5 and 10 times tables.

In science, the children have been identifying the different parts of their hands. They investigated who had the longest handspan and ordered their handspans from longest to shortest. 

In Humanities, the children learned about the Wright brothers. They completed a true or false activity to demonstrate their understanding and drew pictures of the Wright brothers’ first glider. 

During their computing lesson, the children continued to pretend to be Bee-Bots by giving clear instructions. They then programmed their human Bee-Bots to move around the classroom using the commands; forwards, backwards, left and right.
