In French, they have been learning the days of the week and months of the year, both through written tasks and fun verbal activities. The children particularly enjoyed learning a catchy song to help remember the months, and have been practising writing out key dates such as their own birthdays in French.

During Form 5 English lessons, the class has been looking at Mary Norton's book, The Borrowers and, having written some exciting stories and some beautiful descriptions, some of the class decided to create their own Borrowers' items at home. They have been working on extending the range of their vocabulary and trying to avoid using predictable adjectives and instead use engaging and unique words in their writing. This has resulted in some wonderful descriptive writing pieces.
