Significant historic moments
09 Oct 2026Form 6 has been learning about the trial of King Charles I, a hugely significant moment in British history.
To bring the events to life, the children worked in groups to role-play different parts of the trial, taking on the roles of Charles, his supporters and those who wanted to see him punished. The children really enjoyed performing their scenes and thinking about the different sides of the argument. We also discussed why putting a king on trial and eventually executing him was such a remarkable event at the time.
Thank you to all the Form 6 children and parents for your kind donations to the Sevenoaks Larder, as part of our Harvest celebration on Wednesday. The children sang and performed so beautifully and it was such a lovely event to share with you all.
Finally, huge congratulations to the U10 Girls' Hockey Team, who were winners of the Rose Hill U10 Hockey Tournament on Friday!
