They had the chance to explore a range of traditional percussion instruments from Indonesia. The children loved working together to create layered rhythms and perform as a group. In English, Form 5 has been introduced to The Iron Man by Ted Hughes, which has sparked their imaginations. After the initial clarification that this was not a part of the Marvel Universe, the children immediately engaged with the mysterious, poetic style of the author. They shared thoughtful ideas about what the Iron Man is, why he acts the way he does, and made predictions about what might happen next in the story.
