Finding opposites

Form 4 have been busy practising their play this week and it is all coming together well.

They have also had time in their English lessons to learn all about antonyms. Each child had a word stuck to the bottom of their desk and they had to find the person with their antonym to work together with for the rest of the lesson. Several of the words were straightforward, but words such as right and old produced some excellent discussion.

In maths, the children have been focusing on division and using methods they have learnt to solve problems. Yet again, they've realised how important it is to know their times tables.

In science, they carried out an experiment to find the melting point of chocolate. The science lab smelled wonderful, but the children were a little disappointed that they couldn't eat the chocolate afterwards!
