The Roman army

Form 4 have spent some time learning about Roman soldiers.

They looked carefully at diagrams of battle formations and then had great fun acting them out on the playground. There were a few casualties of war who broke formation, but they were a very intimidating Roman army in general.

They then thought about how it must have felt to be a soldier in Roman times and looked at both the positive and negative aspects. They wrote letters describing what their day was like and enjoyed screwing them up and staining them with tea for an authentic look.

They continued to use their imagination in English and finished off their stories about The Tunnel and they have been learning all about the properties of 2D shapes in maths.
