They learned many facts about Queen Victoria and inventions during the Victorian era. They have also been learning about Florence Nightingale and they all did some excellent role-play where they had to pretend to be sick or injured soldiers or Florence Nightingale in the hospital in Scutari. They wrote some excellent facts about Florence Nightingale and they also researched at home some additional information which was great to share.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

During maths, Form 2 have been using place value cards and the dienes to make two-digit and three-digit numbers. They have enjoyed column subtraction using the column method. The children continue to consolidate their 2, 5 and 10 multiplication tables, and they enjoy going to their Form 2 shop, giving the correct money and also learning how to work out giving the correct change.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In science, the children enjoyed identifying living and nonliving things. The class discussed what was needed to make it living or nonliving. A very productive week. Well done, Form 2!
