Value for money

Form 4 have been discussing money this term in PSHE.

They began by discussing how people get money and methods they can use to spend it. Then they thought about how people choose to spend their money and the difference between needs and wants. Finally, this week they thought about the phrase value for money and had to decide as a group which options at the supermarket represented the best value.

In English, they completed their persuasive writing. They had included an impressive amount of emotive language and there were several rhetorical questions used effectively to hook the reader.

Maths has been about measures. The children practised converting between grams and kilograms and millilitres and litres. They also had a practical session finding out the capacity of various containers.
