A bit of a stretch
13 Jun 2025On Tuesday, Form 7 were joined by a former parent and pupil to deliver the final workshop of the Leavers’ Programme.
They taught the children about physiotherapy and how the spine works, including several stretches and movements that could be performed regularly to keep it healthy. Perhaps the greatest enjoyment came at the end of the session though, where the children were allowed to eat some of the marshmallows that were used in the practical session!
After the physiotherapy workshop, three of our Form 7s were whisked away to the Hub to compete in the semi-finals of the Quiz Club’s National Maths Championships. They had to answer thirty multiple-choice questions with different time limits and difficulty points. Although they did not qualify for the final at Oxford University, the children gave a good account of themselves and demonstrated good teamwork.
Wednesday brought to us the Father's Day stall. The children had the chance to pick presents for their dads. Many dads will be pleased to hear that a lot of people opted for edible treats! After the present was picked, it was wrapped up for the children, who then took it to put in their bags to go home. Happy Father's Day for Sunday. I hope that you enjoy all the presents picked out for you by your children.
