Form 6 went on a languages journey around the world, exploring Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Japan. Form 6 went around the countries collecting stamps. Through their journey they have learnt basic greetings and numbers in each language and took part in fun language and cultural challenges. The activities helped them to discover different languages, traditions and cultures in an engaging and interactive way.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In English, the children have been enjoying some creative work since the beginning of term. Following on from their poem If the walls could talk, they have been producing some descriptive writing based on a picture of a busy beach. Integrating prepositional phrases, fronted adverbials, adjectives, adverbs and a range of figurative language, the children are beginning to produce some beautiful, mature descriptions, which many of them were keen to share with the class.

Form 6 have been learning about structure in music, in particular, in identifying pieces in Binary and Ternary form. They are now beginning to work in groups to compose their own music within these set structures. They will be aiming to finish and perform their compositions by half term.
