Bon voyage!
15 May 2026Form 7 enjoyed a fantastic week in France.
The excitement was evident on Monday, as Form 7 pupils boarded the coach at School. After a journey across the Channel, they arrived at Le Château de Warsy, which was built in 1725 and served as their base camp for the week.
Following a good night's rest after all that travel, Form 7 set off from their idyllic abode to visit the Musée Somme 1916, the Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial and the Thiepval Memorial to the Missing.
Wednesday's itinerary took them to the picturesque city of Amiens, where they explored the famous cathedral, browsed the markets and made some interesting lunch choices, ordering en français of course!
A visit to France would not be complete without a tenure in the capital, Paris, plus an ascent up the iconic Eiffel Tower. The snails received mixed reviews but bravo to all who gave them a try!
We are sure that the children have made some phenomenal memories for life this week and will no doubt be bringing home many stories to share!
