Greater independence

The children have adapted brilliantly to their first week in Form 5, settling into the new routines with enthusiasm and maturity.

Their subject teachers have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them and are looking forward to teaching all the exciting lessons planned for the term ahead. Already, the children are beginning to show greater independence, learning their timetables, organising their belongings, and becoming more confident in managing their homework schedules.

In Humanities, the children have been introduced to their new topics and have shown real curiosity about what lies ahead. Many have already been asking thoughtful questions and looking forward to exploring themes such as Medieval Britain, Europe and Mount Everest. It’s been lovely to see such early enthusiasm for discovering new knowledge.

Outside the classroom, Form 5 have made a strong start to their sporting calendar. The boys enjoyed their first football training session, getting stuck in with energy, focus, and excellent team spirit. The girls also impressed in their opening hockey session, showing great determination and a willingness to learn new skills. It's shaping up to be a fantastic term, both in and out of the classroom.
