Elsewhere in school, the children have been learning about the Titanic in humanities, looking closely at the events and decisions that contributed to the disaster. The children have explored possible design flaws, the warnings that were missed and some of the decisions made by those involved before and during the voyage. Using the evidence they gathered, the class then considered who was most responsible for the disaster. This led to plenty of debate as the children compared the actions of different individuals and organisations before reaching and justifying their own conclusions. Form 7 have also undertaken their first practical experiment in science, where they have been exploring how light reflects as it reaches different surfaces.
