This week, the children have been acting out Jack and the Beanstalk using sound effects. They have discussed in their groups; the setting, the different characters and they sequenced the story. They enjoyed performing to the class and they were able to use their voices to be a very forceful giant, an angry Jack’s mother and Jack. They have also been practising their assembly, ready to perform next week at the Main School and Pre-prep assemblies.

During maths, the children were adding 9 and adding 11 using the 100-square method. They have also been adding multiples of 10 and consolidating the 2, 5 and 10 times tables. The children worked extremely hard. 

In science, the children were identifying different things that we push and pull around the school. They looked around the room and outside for different things that they could push or pull.
