Musical intervals outdoors

At the end of last term, Form 6 was looking at musical intervals in their music lessons.

They are now applying their knowledge of how to write and describe intervals by attempting to harmonise a well-known tune. This week's lesson was the beginning of the project which will take a few more weeks, but the class enjoyed working out on the Paddock, where they were able to enjoy both the sun and the outside space to work in their groups.

In humanities this week, Mr Plant introduced the new topic of Rivers and Coasts to the class. He started off by asking them to name as many rivers as they could and to draw a river with as many features as possible, showing their prior knowledge.  The children have now begun researching coastal towns in the UK and they are learning the differences between physical and human geography.
