Remarkable people
02 Oct 2026What a remarkable week we have had in Form 4.
The children have been busy investigating shape this week during their maths lessons. They started by classifying shapes according to their properties and then looked in more depth at various quadrilaterals in particular.
In science, they investigated transparent, translucent and opaque materials and they had to discuss in their groups predictions and fair testing. They also learned about how animals see colour and why predators and prey have different eye locations.
They also had time to present their Remarkable assembly to the rest of the school. The children led a quiz for the rest of the school to see if they could recognise a range of remarkable people from across a range of countries and time periods.
In English, they spent time writing up their stories based on the book The Tunnel, and in humanities they found out about Celtic and Roman houses.
