U9 v Hilden Oaks:
The match was a really close one with the final score 3-2 in favour of us. They fought back from being 3-0 down and it was very close but we held out for a win. Harry scored 2 goals and Euan got the other one. William
U8 v Hilden Oaks:
This was our third game of the season and we all played very well as a team. Remy made some good saves in goal and also scored great goals - he very nearly had a hat-trick! The rest of the team all added to the scoreboard. We did some good passing around with the ball in nasty, rainy conditions. The final score was 9-0 to Russell House. Beau
U8/9 v Hilden Oaks:
The match started well, with Russell House keeping possession of the ball for a lot of the time. Although we were one nil down in the first half, we caught up in the second, with Harry scoring an equaliser, followed by another two great goals by Rion. In the end, we won 3-1. The whole team played really well and Rowan and George did some excellent passing. We are looking forward to our next match. Harry
U10/11A Football Tournament:
The first game we played was Bickley Park which we won 2-0. Freddie scored both goals. The second game was against St Edmunds and we won 2-1. An own goal by them and Henry scored the other. The third game we lost 2-1 against a very strong Kings Rochester team. Kit scored our goal. In the fourth game, we were winning 3-0 but they came back strongly for a draw 3-3. This result still meant we made the semi-finals. This proved to be the trickiest game and although we had some great chances, we drew the match 1-1. This meant the match was decided on penalties and our fifth kick went over the bar meaning we came joint third. My player of the tournament was a tricky decision as everyone played really well. In the end, it was Freddie. Jake
U10/11B v Spring Grove B & C Triangular:
I think we played both games well today. The score for the first match was 3-0 to Spring Grove. However, we had numerous chances on goal and could have scored 6 goals if our finishing was better. In the second game we came back stronger, with Edward and James scoring a goal each early on. The score in the end was 3-2 to the opposition. Arty was man of the match thanks to his great tackling and brilliant passing throughout both games. Harry was a real live wire and was strong in defence too. Theo
IAPS U10/11A Football Tournament, Ashford:
The A team went to Ashford to play in a 7-a-side tournament. After a long journey, we kicked off our first match which we lost 4-0. We played a further 3 more matches which, unfortunately, we lost which meant it was a tough tournament for Russell House. We came up against three very good teams including Eaton and Blackheath. Although we did not win a match it was a good experience for the team early in the season. The player of the day was Hugo for all his hard work in defence and goal. Sammy
U9 Football Tournament, Caterham School:
On Saturday, the U9A Team played at Caterham School and it was a very interesting tournament. In our first game, we played Reigate St Mary's Prep's B team and we beat them 2-0. The goalscorers were William and Harry, who both scored 1 each. We could have improved our calling, but it was still an excellent game. In our second game, we drew 1-1 against Banstead School. It was a very good game, but we could have improved on getting back faster. In our last group game, we played Caterham School and we lost 1-0. In our semi-final game, we played Reigate St Mary's Prep's A team and the score was 0-0, so it went into penalties and we won with two good saves by Theo. The final game against Elmhurst was an absolute thriller! Euan scored the first goal, then Harry scored the next goal. The other team scored, but it wasn't enough and Russell House won the tournament! Harry
